DJ Riz - Live on Westwood (1996)


















A full 90 minute mix from one of NYC's finest, DJ Riz. This was live on Tim Westwood's show in October 1996 when Riz was in the UK to promote his Shoot Tha Pump mix CD.
Theres not a bad track on this tape. Its 100% head nod Hip Hop: Pete Rock, Jeru, Royal Flush, ATCQ plus lots of indie stuff. The majority of it was brand new at the time so the fact that alot of these tracks are considered classics today is testament to Riz's selection skills.

    Riz is always proper. Never heard any weak sets or tapes from him.

    I have the Skribble set on cassette. Will be ruipping to PC tonight, should be on Youtube shortly. Been sat in a bag in my loft for 13 years. Ha!

    Question- Riz done another mix on Westwood's show sometime between 94-97. A lot of the tracks were the same as the 94 mix, but it was definitely a different set.

    I've searched all over (this is my favourite mix ever) but lost my original tape recording. Does anyone know about the one I'm talking about? Might have been a Friday night mix or something at the same time.....
