Tim Westwood - One FM Rap Show (1996)

45 minutes of this show from 6th January 1996, including music by Mobb Deep, 2Pac, Chill Rob G and Smoothe Da Hustler. Tim also plays a bootleg remix of Red & Meth's 'How High' that I hadn't heard before and that KRS One and Lord Finesse freestyle from Stretch & Bobbito's show..

Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince 'Brand New Funk' live (1988)

Having played the 2007 remake of this track on my last show, I then picked up this 12" whilst out digging on Sunday so thought I'd drop this live version, recorded at New York's Nassau Coliseum in 1988...

DJ Step One The Infinite Hip Hop Show (25.08.12)

DJ Step One - The Infinite Hip Hop Show (25.08.12) by Kane Fm on Mixcloud

Fully aware that I haven't posted anything since the last show 2 weeks ago but there's been sunshine, birthdays and all sorts of other business to deal with.

Also, Mediafire are being fucking idiots and acting on DCMA-related complaints from cowboy fuckers like these, who basically collate a list of random links, send mediafire a notice to remove them for copyright infrigement and then charge their clients, claiming that said links were for material they owned. So far, I'm on 2 strikes (a DJ S&S mixtape from 1996 and a Method Man & Redman radio freestyle FFS) so there's quite a large possiblity that at some point some cunt in an office in France will decide to charge Warner Bros for the removal of a link they have nothing to do with, and that will be the end of this Kid Capri mixtape.
I'll be persevering with caution in the meantime but will try and drop a couple of treats this week.

Last night's set on Kane FM. Things kick off with some early 00s bangers, followed by new joints from Killer Mike, Nas & Scarface, Nutso and Sleepin Giantz. I wrap things up by running through some early 90s classics for the last 25 minutes. Show was big like Paul Wight. Catch it live every other Saturday from 6-8pm (UK time).

Ghetto Red Hot

As everyone is showing Jamaica love right now, I thought I'd share these for my reggae heads...

First up is this Supercat mix. Probably my favourite reggae artist..

DJ Step One 'Tell Em What The 90s Like'

DJ Step One - Tell Em What The 90s Like (Hip Hop mix) by Soulfocus on Mixcloud

Been a while since I dropped a mix, mainly because of the time I spend doing radio related stuff these days. I've been off work this week so I've had a bit of time on my hands. Here's 60 minutes of straight East Coast bangers from 95-96
