Flava Of The Month returns - ticket purchased with the quickness!

Just a quick thing regarding the Megaupload fiasco: Only about 10-15 posts on here had Megaupload links but I'm not entirely sure which ones. If you come across any dead links let me know and I'll re-up. I'm hoping Mediafire is safe from harm for now or this whole blog and 3 years of time and effort is pretty much fucked. I've generally stayed away from uploading things that are commercially available but it looks like that doesn't matter right now.

For those of you who need to be told, these are old flyers - not adverts for upcoming events! Im not sure if the Busta flyer is for the show that ended in The Forum getting torn up, or for the comeback show (when he actually performed). I have a feeling that the Raekwon show might've been cancelled at the last minute. I'm still a bit gutted I was too young to reach Flava Of The Month...

Got my ticket for this (and possibly a spare the way things are going). I'm more amped to see De La and Rakim for the first time than I am Mos and Talib but all 3 acts in the same night should be great. We don't get that very often in the UK! Just hoping Rakim shows up - he cancelled his last 2 UK shows in recent years.
Good to see promoters in London keeping the shows coming. Check Ah Sh!t for the latest gig info in the capital.

Just found these while I was tidying up. I'm sure most of you remember that around the time 'Doggystyle' dropped Snoop was facing an attempted murder charge. He came to the UK in February 1994 to promote the album and the UK press went nuts, with every no-name rent-a-quote MP jumping on the bandwagon to get the shows cancelled.
17 (seventeen) years later, he's coming back to perform the whole album at the Lovebox festival. See you there...

"DJ 279’s Friday Nite Flavas Rap Show is the longest running Rap Show in the UK boasting more than 15 years of transmitting continuous authentic Hip Hop on Choice FM London.
In 1993 DJ 279 launched Flava Of The Month, a monthly Hip Hop party @ The Borderline Club in Charing Cross Rd. The night provided a platform for numerous UK artists such as Fallacy, Blak Twang, Estelle, Skinnyman, MCD, David J, Scratch Perverts and Funky DL making it a must attend event for many years.
Flava Of The Month was also responsible for bringing Mad Skillz, Dead Prez, Big L, O.C, Canibus, DJ Cash Money, Tony Touch, Big L,
Big Daddy Kane and Master Ace to the UK, and those are just a few names on a very illustrious list.
Now Flava Of The Month is back to do it all over again..."


















What with MOP last week, and KRS and Rakim both having shows lined up it looks like there's gonna be alot going in London this autumn.
