Nas & Akinyele freestyle (1991)
Don't think this has been online before, but its something I've had for a while and never got around to posting. Nas and Akinyele trading rhymes in what I guess would be 1991 as it's similar to the lunchroom freestyles that leaked a few year ago. This session sounds like it's from a radio show but I have no idea which one.
I tried to embed the Audiomack player but it kept bringing up a Guru freestyle. Fuck knows what's going on there. It's on my Audiomack page either way.

Big Pun & Fat Joe - Twinz (Step One blend)
Having a few tech issues but should be able to resume posting tapes soon. In the meantime here's another blend from the Droppin Gems On Your Melon mix. This time Terror Squad meets Bomb Squad.
Big up to B-Boy Document for the feature on the blog in their most recent issue. You can cop that here. It was my first magazine interview so I shoudl probably have submitted some recent photos for it rather than ones from 2005 but it came out well regardless.

Random Rap Radio shared a Capital Rap Show from August '89
Chase March hooked up a tape of Mastermind's Street Jam Show on the Hip Hop Radio Archive. Hopefully the first of many.
oh, and I'm on the 'gram now. Might be more 90s Jungle/D&B orientated but will throw in a few hip hop bits here and there.

DJ DS - Independence Day Vol 3
Some nice late 90s/Early 00s underground action from DJ DS.
Not posted much recently, partly because this new Blogger interface is a bit shit and I haven't been able to figure out embedding Mixcloud or Audiomack players. Reverted back to the original math but that's only got a few weeks left on this planet. Hopefully they'll sort out any bugs and make it easier to use by then.

AZ, Raekwon & Ghostface - New York Get Down (Step One mix)
AZ, Rae & Ghost on the Nas - Get Down beat. Thought I would post up this blend off the last mix I did (cop here if you somehow haven't already), partly because it's good but also I've never really uploaded anything to YouTube and wanted to try it out. Might get a few more things on there if it does some numbers (reaches double figures)

LL Cool J - Mr Controversy (unreleased, 90-91)
Been listening to some old LL recently, specifically Mama Said Knock You Out and Bigger And Deffer (which really needs the 2LP reissue treatment, along with a proper release of the Double L Cools Down bootleg) so I was pleased to come across this unreleased track from 1991 which presumably was part of the Mama Said... sessions with Marley Marl but didn't make the cut. That's a shame because it's pretty good. Can't say I remember hearing it back in the day but this is taken from a Max & Dave Kiss FM Rap Show so guess there's a chance I have heard it before. It's on YouTube already but the quality is predictably weak so only right we get it up on here.

Ghostface & Cappadonna - Choice FM freestyle (1996)
Quick Ghostface and Cappadonna freestyle going in over the Hell On Earth instrumental on 279's Friday Night Flavas back in October '96.
This would've been around the time Ironman dropped as they also hit Westwood's show during their visit to London.
