This is the last of the Jay Ski tapes I have and its probably my favourite of the bunch. No cover or tracklist but Cru, Mobb Deep, Mase, The Beatnuts, Biggie and Jungle Brothers all feature...

The current plan for the blog is to make it to 600 posts by the end of the year and then it's a wrap. That's 33 posts between now and 31st December. I've shared most of what I have over the last few years but hopefully I'll be able to pull a few things out of the bag between now and then.

I've still got a few more Jay Ski tapes to post, so thought I'd hit you with Volume 28 from 1998. Sound quality was all over the place at times but I've done the best I could with it....

DJ Jay Ski - Volume 29 (1998)

I finally got hold of a tape deck so here's the first of a new batch of rips. I was halfway through doing this one when my old tape player died a few months back.
DJ Jay Ski (out of Jersey, not Philly as I think I stated in a previous post) drops Wu Tang, DITC, Redman and Q Tip alongside some indie joints...

Thanks to Richard for the original tape.

DJ Jay Ski - Volume 25 (1997)
Have to admit that Philly's Jay Ski wasn't a DJ I was familiar with until recently, but having been sent a stack of his tapes (shout to Richard!) he's definitely up there with the best of them. Not too heavy on the scratching and with a good mix of big names and indie joints, this is well worth a listen...
